Ever curious about what happens to water after it spirals down your sink? Get ready to wade into the not-so-glamorous realm of wastewater on a tour that delves into the hidden world of what occurs after that flush. If you've ever wanted to uncover how used water gets a dazzling new life as reusable water, this is your chance to learn, all while staying splash-free. It's a great outing for eco-conscious families with teens, because nothing says "family bonding" like a shared mission to help out the planet.
We'll get started at 1:30 pm outside the Players Theatre in Port Macquarie—don't be late, unless you enjoy long, unplanned strolls. At 1:40 pm, we'll head to the Port Macquarie Wastewater Treatment Plant to observe some pretty intriguing processes in action. Then, at 2:40 pm, we'll saunter over to the Recycled Water Plant to see how yesterday's used water gets the royal treatment. We'll be back around 3:30 pm at the Players Theatre, and while this enlightening adventure won't cost you a penny, don't forget to register—this is one trip you won't want to skip.
