A relaxed, slightly cheeky workshop where observation, sculpture and drawing bump into each other and decide to have a bit of fun. It's an excuse to be curious, make a mess in a sensible way and let imagination take the lead for a while.
Students will explore a sensory exhibition and join forces to build a soft sculptural figure from body part cushions, because nothing says contemporary art like a cushion shaped like a knee. Back in the art lab they will use line, rubbings and collage to invent their own imaginative bodies, then assemble the pieces for display or to take home.
