The Lions Club of Port Macquarie is putting on their Charity Duck Race, a laid-back community effort to raise cash for Endeavour Clubhouse, Marine Rescue, and the Hastings Education Fund. Kids get a kick out of watching the plastic ducks bob and jostle down Kooloonbung Creek like a feathery flotilla of misfits, while grown-ups ponder if their five-dollar entry will sink or swim to glory. Tickets go on sale in the weeks before, but peering over the edge is gratis for everyone.

Owners of the top ducks snag cash prizes, because even bath toys deserve a payout. It kicks off Sunday 5 April 2026 from 10:30 am to 1 pm at Kooloonbung Creek Reserve between the Buller and Gordon Street bridges in Port Macquarie 2444.
