Ever thought a humble pool noodle could be a star Well, prepare to be amazed. On Thursday 17 July 2025, from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, the Port Macquarie Library at 32 Grant St is hosting a rather unique crafting session. We'll be turning those colourful foam tubes into fantastic puppets, complete with working mouths, so they can chat away about whatever takes their fancy. Once your new little pal is looking spiffy, you'll pick up some handy puppetry skills to bring them properly to life.

This creative caper is designed for kids aged 7 years and up, and it's part of the library's July school holiday program. The best part It's absolutely free. Just make sure to snag a spot beforehand, because booking is essential for this puppet-making shindig.
