The Opera Australia Childrens Chorus is giving 15 local kids aged nine to 14 a shot at strutting their stuff on stage with some top notch opera pros and musicians. Its audition time on Thursday 23 April 2026 from 430pm to 6pm at the Ross Family Studio in The Glasshouse on Clarence Street and Hay Street in Port Macquarie. Think of it as a low stakes way for young ones to discover if theyve got pipes or just like dressing up fancy.

Once picked the chorus kids will do about eight to 10 one hour rehearsals from May through August led by Chorus Master Annalie McRae right there in the studio. It all builds up to the big show on Saturday 8 August at 730pm. Its free so no wallet worries just show up and see if your mini diva makes the cut.
