No Lights No Lycra is one of those global dance gatherings that started in Melbourne and somehow spread to over 75 spots around the world, including right here in Port Macquarie. It's basically a chill zone where folks of all shapes and shuffle levels can boogie without anyone side-eyeing their moves, all about that raw freedom, self-expression, and the kind of joy that comes from wiggling like nobody's watching, because technically, in the spirit of the name, they might not be.

The whole idea boils down to everyone being able to dance, no audition required, and it's more about boosting your physical and mental wellbeing through fun movement than nailing some polished routine. It costs ten bucks a pop. You'll find it happening on Thursday 13 November 2025 from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm, and again on Thursday 27 November 2025 at the same time, at St Thomas Church Hall on 50 Hay Street in Port Macquarie, postcode 2444.
