Ever felt the urge to write a gushing thank you note to a particularly lovely gum tree, or perhaps a passionate poem to the ocean's embrace? Well, now's your chance, without looking completely bonkers talking to foliage. Alice Yunchan is hosting a creative writing workshop called "Love Letters to Nature" at the Port Macquarie Library on Saturday 2 August 2025, kicking off at 10 am. It's all about getting back to basics and figuring out where you truly belong, both inside your own head and out in the great Aussie outdoors.

Expect some straightforward, no pressure writing exercises designed to help you pen a proper declaration of adoration to our beautiful planet, brimming with all your personal reflections and gratitude. Think of it as therapy, but with more trees and less lying on a couch. Afterwards, there's a good old sharing session, because apparently, everyone loves a good bit of heartfelt nature appreciation. It's completely free, but you'll need to sign up beforehand, so don't just rock up expecting a seat.
