Listen, it's winter in Port Macquarie and the terrace at the Bowl is doing its bit to keep the soulful vibes alive. Chloe Neilsen will be there on Saturday 4 July, from 6.30pm, bringing her singer-songwriter thing to the stage. No cover charge, which means you can save your coins for a hot drink or whatever takes your fancy. Just give 6583 2238 a bell to let them know you're coming, because apparently they need a headcount and we're not animals.

The venue is The Terrace at The Bowl, 159 Hastings River Drive, Port Macquarie. That's not far from the river, which is handy if you fancy a wander beforehand. It's a free gig, so the only risk is that you'll have to pretend you remembered to bring a jumper. But honestly, Chloe's voice should warm you up enough. Just don't expect a full blow torch.
