Sami Bayly, author and illustrator, is hosting an illustration workshop during Youth Week at Port Macquarie Library on Grant Street. Its set for Friday 17 April 2026 from 1pm to 2pm, aimed at 13 to 18 year olds. Free entry, but bookings are a must unless you fancy standing outside sketching the door.

Expect to pick up fresh art techniques, hear tales of natures weirdest critters that sound like they were dreamed up by a committee of mad scientists, and get a peek behind the publishing curtain. Sami will share her own quirky tips to level up your drawings, no prior skills required unless you count doodling on napkins as professional experience.
