Hastings Choristers: A Singular Sensation - Broadway to Beatles

If you have ever wondered what happens when a choir decides to mash up the Beatles with Broadway show tunes, this is your chance to find out. The Hastings Choristers, presumably tired of singing about choral things, are putting on a morning concert that jumps from Eleanor Rigby to Elphaba without blinking. Expect harmonies, a few raised eyebrows, and possibly someone belting out Hey Jude as if it were a number from Les Misérables. It will be either brilliant or bewildering, and either way it will be memorable.

The whole thing happens on Sunday 5 July 2026 from 10 am to midday at Players Theatre on Lord Street in Port Macquarie. Tickets are 32 dollars for members, 35 for regular adults, 30 for concession, and a mere 20 for anyone under 18. That is not much more than the cost of a decent brunch, and this time you do not have to tip the waiter. Just show up, sit down, and let the Choristers do the singing while you do the relaxing.
