lays out the rough and tumble history of the sport in Australia, using paintings, photos and clips from the screen to spotlight some of its toughest characters and how boxing has woven itself into our culture over the years.

Drawn from dusty archives at the National Film and Sound Archive and the National Portrait Gallery, it covers everything from the early 1900s right up to now, treating boxing as sport, sideshow and social glue. Its free, running from 10am on Saturday 13 June 2026 until 2pm on Sunday 2 August 2026 at Glasshouse Regional Gallery on 32 Clarence Street in Port Macquarie.
