Charles Sturt University is chipping in again as regional partner for Queer Screen Film Festival Australia, backing the LGBTQIA+ crowd and their mates with this Ecstatica edition. Theyre screening a quirky lineup of short films cherrypicked from this years Mardi Gras Film Festival, because who doesnt love a quick hit of queer storytelling without committing to a full feature.

Expect eight films nodding to diverse voices in the community, all at The Players Theatre on 33a Lord Street in Port Macquarie. It kicks off at 6pm on Friday 27 March 2026 and wraps at 11pm, with tickets at $25 – reasonable for a night that might just leave you chuckling or pondering life.
