Blake Pavey has turned social media chaos into a following of more than a million by making the awkward, the anxious and the absurd into laugh out loud material. He is touring Australia with a new hour of stand up called A Bit Scared, which means expect stories that are equal parts honest and uncomfortably funny.

The Age summed it up neatly, noting how his set swings between light and dark, nudging the room toward tears before landing a punchline that leaves everyone in metaphorical stitches. Think emotional whiplash in the friendliest sense, with a few embarrassed snorts and a lump in the throat followed by a belly laugh.
