Ever wondered where all that stuff you bin actually ends up, instead of just vanishing into the ether. This free bus tour takes you behind the scenes at the Kingfisher and Cairncross waste facilities around Port Macquarie-Hastings, showing how they wrangle general rubbish, recycling, and organic gunk without the drama.

You will wander the key spots, hear straight from the folks who deal with it daily, and pick up the basics on landfill tricks, turning food scraps into useful mulch, and salvaging materials from the chaos. It finishes with a casual chat and questions at the education spot right by the Materials Recovery Facility. Free, but register first or you will be left sorting your own bins.
